April Showers and Eggs

One of our favourite months is April because it begins with pranks and practical jokes before moving on to Easter. It heralds the coming of spring, when trees bud, flowers bloom, and the temperature rises. It's a time for fresh starts, new beginnings, and a rekindled sense of optimism.

This Easter we have deliciously fragrant hyacinths in pots or baskets, as well as spring bouquets and planters. For something a little unusual, we have glittered echeveria to brighten any room for Easter. These are just a few options for Easter gifts this year. Regardless of how we choose to observe Easter, an egg hunt is a common activity, and here in Kettering there are a few nearby locations where you can do just that.

Wicksteed Park is a local favourite. One of the first amusement parks in the UK, it is situated on 147 acres and offers a variety of activities, including riding, exploring, camping, celebrating, playing, eating, and shopping. Additionally, this Easter they are having lots of Easter-themed activities to enjoy.

Another well-known location nearby is West Lodge Rural Centre just outside Kettering. They are hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza with an Easter Egg hunt, the Easter bunny, and other themed activities. You can also see newborn lambs, bunnies, chicks, and other small animals there

St. George's Day    23rd Apr 2023 The annual celebration of England's patron saint is not a national holiday in England, however, it is celebrated by flying the English flag and participating in traditional English activities such as morris dancing.
