Choosing Timeless Wedding Flowers

Often the first thing the bride and groom say to us when they book their wedding flower consultation is “we really can't decide what flowers to choose - please help!”. But never fear we tell them, that’s what we are here for!

Dean and the Magnolia team have been helping happy couples pick timeless wedding flowers for 15 years, designing the perfect flowers for a memorable wedding day. And what makes wedding flowers timeless? In our opinion, as long as YOU love your wedding flowers they will always be timeless! That’s why we take the time to get to know our brides and grooms, their personalities and style as a couple, so we can suggest colour schemes and flowers that will forever reflect their special day.

We have handpicked our top wedding flowers and reception ideas, which will always look timeless captured in your wedding photos for years to come.

Blush Pink ... for a romantic wedding day

These beautiful flowers we created back in August for a local wedding at Barton Hall. Our romantic bride and groom opted for a blush pink and cream theme – perfect for a summer wedding!

We used classic roses as the feature blooms, and to add extra texture we also used pink chrysanthemum and white veronica.

Neutral shades for weddings always look timeless, as they complement pretty much any venue setting, harmonise with the bridal party outfits  and add a hint of colour against the brides Big White Dress.

Classic Roses … with a contemporary wedding twist

Roses are a true classic wedding flower – and for good reason! With so many varieties for colour choice, delicate petals and a traditional flower used for hundreds of years to represent deep love and romance.

However we like to add a contemporary twist, just like these bespoke flowers we created for a June wedding at Rushton Hall.

We used roses in crisp white and Pantone colour of the year 2019 Living Coral - which is an elegant bright yet peachy shade. For the unique touch, we combined blooms with succulents – which add unusual texture and gorgeous shade of green to really show off the petal colours.

Bright and Beautiful ... bold blooms for happy wedding flowers

Don’t be afraid to use strong, bold colours for your wedding flowers. Eye catching and vibrant, bright blooms help bring to life weddings outside or wedding receptions in a bell tent or marquee.

We were honoured to design the wedding flowers for a rustic countryside setting in September. Our happy couple radiated happiness and joy when they met with Dean, so bright sunflowers seemed like the perfect choice. To create the wedding flowers, our florists used a gorgeous mix of carefully sourced blooms; sonja sunflowers, sun orange sunflowers, gyp, white avalanche roses, akito roses, tanacetum and yellow alstroemeria.
