If you choose Magnolia the Florist as your wedding florist you'll most likely need to come in to the shop for an informal chat about your wedding before we can provide a quote for your wedding flowers. Here are some of our frequently asked questions about our wedding flower consultations...

When can I book my wedding flower consultation?
Our wedding flower consultations are Monday to Friday between 2.00pm and 4.00pm, or Saturday between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
How much is a wedding consultation?
The consultation fee is just £50 (*The £50 consultation payment will be refunded to you if you decide to book with Magnolia the Florist by deducting it from your final wedding flower invoice).
We do a lot of work behind the scenes that goes into the design process; not just the duration of your wedding flowers consultation but also time spent researching, sourcing and creating a detailed quote that is completely bespoke and personal for your wedding flowers. With the ever-fluctuating prices of flowers and their changing seasons, I’m sure you can understand that it’s never a very straight forward.
Do I have to have a consultation?
If it’s just bouquets and buttonholes you require for your wedding, then you probably don’t need to come in for a consultation, just send us a photo of your design via our contact email and we can come back to you with a personalised price.
What do I bring to a wedding flower consultation?
Most of our brides will come with scrap books or Pinterest boards filled with their ideas, and list of their exact requirements. Other brides come without any ideas at all. Whatever way you are inclined to attend, we are experienced at making suggestions and guiding you in your ideas.
You may be a very flowery person and have a vast knowledge of flowers names. Equally you may know what you like but have no clue about flowers - don’t worry! If you bring images that give the overall look of what you’re hoping to achieve or perhaps you’ve found a picture of THE bouquet for you, bring those images along and we can tell you what those flowers are, if they will be in season for your wedding day and together design something beautiful.
It is worth thinking about what flowers you may need – this can include bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, dried confetti petals, church candelabras, floral archways, venue decoration, flowers on the cake, table centres and even car decorations.
Where will my wedding flowers consultation be?
Our consultations are by appointment only in our Florist shop in the heart of Kettering, Northamptonshire. We are located on Market Street opposite to The Yards. See our contact us page for a map and parking information.
How long does a consultation last?
A consultation with one of our wedding florist specialists will take as long as required but an hour is typically what we would advise.
Will the ideas at the consultation be the final designs we have to go with?
By the end of your consultation we would like to have come up with some great designs that you like and are passionate about. If you have an idea of your budget, then where possible we will indicate during your consultation if perhaps an alternative idea might be more suitable for your budget.
All our quotes we send to you via email after the consultation will have a detailed breakdown of the design and a price for each item. Even when you have booked your wedding flowers with Magnolia the Florist, there is always room for adjustments here and there.
When will I receive my wedding flowers quote?
We always say to allow 7 working days (Monday – Friday) from the date of your consultation but where possible we will do our best to get it back to you sooner.
Will we be able to have another consultation?
This is always down to the discretion of Magnolia the Florist, subject to how busy we are, and it is not guaranteed. If you have not yet confirmed your wedding flowers booking with Magnolia the Florist then an additional consultation is chargeable (£50, non-refundable).
Of course, you can call or email us anytime between 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday. If you have booked your wedding flowers with Magnolia the Florist then we will offer one additional 30-minute complimentary consultation at our Florist shop, this is advisable to do closer to your wedding date.
Can I just turn up for a wedding consultation?
Due to the nature of our job we are very busy and aren’t always available to see Brides that pop in without an appointment. So, all our consultations are by appointment only.
